Malver’s newest pet shop has been officially opened by coun Christine O’Donnell, the deputy chairman of Malvern Hills District Council. Coun O’Donnell attended the grand opening of Pets at Home, on Malvern Retail Park, and took a tour of the store, including its grooming salon and vets’ practice. The three pet trade associations are asking for help on where pet shops source their animals from, as they look at how to respond to proposed changes to licensing in England. Pet Industry Federation, the Reptile & Exotic Pet Trade Association and the Ornamental Aquatic Trade Association want pet shops to fill in a quick anonymous survey on whether or not they buy any of the animals they sell from private/hobby breeders (as opposed to commercial suppliers/wholesalers etc).
