Lily’s Kitchen wins top prize for cat food stand at Crufts

For the first time ever, Lily’s Kitchen, the award-winning British producer of naturally nutritious, proper food for pets has won a top prize for their controversial cat food stand at the famous dog show; Crufts, this weekend. The stand was designed to raise awareness of healthy and delicious food for felines but this was the last thing dog lovers expected to see at the show. Hosting the stand at the show was Lily’s Kitchen’s newest family member, ‘Cat Balding’: a feline friendly TV presenter with an uncanny resemblance to the show’s official host Clare Balding. New Pets at Home store opening soon

A Pets at Home store is set to open in Morpeth next month, bringing 21 jobs. The store, which will sell thousands of pet products, will also include a Vets4Pets practice, owned by Frances Gray and complete with a fully-equipped surgery. There will also be a Groom Room and a pet adoption centre run by independent charity Support Adoption For Pets. All staff receive training in pet care, endorsed by City and Guilds, and manager Neil Brooks has 16 years’ experience with the business, previously working in Sunderland. The store is due to open on Friday, August 12. source
