Winner revealed for Christmas Pawtraits competition


The winner of the Christmas Pawtraits competition has been chosen by the owners of Pet Emporium in Watford. Katie Dickinson, 29, and Yasmin Tarr, 26, took over the Pet Emporium in St Albans Road, Watford, two years ago and have seen a varied collection of dressed up animals. £3m investment doubles Naturo Pet Foods capacity


Naturo Pet Foods has undertaken a £3m investment in its plastic tray manufacturing facility in Moy, Northern Ireland, enabling it to more than double production of its natural dog food. Hatfield pet shop provides nearly 6,000 meals to homeless pets


Staff at a Hatfield pet store raised enough money to provide nearly 6,000 meals for homeless pets in the town. Staff and customers at Pets at Home in Hatfield raised £2885.25 following an appeal to help homeless pets. Throughout December, the store team worked hard to collect donations to help provide meals for abandoned animals in and around Hatfield. The collection was part of the Santa Paws initiative being run by the charity, Support Adoption For Pets. New Pets at Home store opening soon


A Pets at Home store is set to open in Morpeth next month, bringing 21 jobs. The store, which will sell thousands of pet products, will also include a Vets4Pets practice, owned by Frances Gray and complete with a fully-equipped surgery. There will also be a Groom Room and a pet adoption centre run by independent charity Support Adoption For Pets. All staff receive training in pet care, endorsed by City and Guilds, and manager Neil Brooks has 16 years’ experience with the business, previously working in Sunderland.
