thThe RSPCA are hoping for a large turnout at the Animal Centre, Halsall for this year’s Fun Dog Show.

They have lots planned for the day, including a spectacular show from West Lancashire Display Team. Their team of highly trained dogs will be showing off their skills – from jumping through hoops to tackling gun-wielding muggers.

Customers with a passion for reptiles can meet with the North West Reptile Club, which is bringing along a selection of its reptiles to display.

Hollyfold Donkeys will be also joining this years show, offering children donkey rides.

As well as all of the above, the Fun Dog Show will have Cockerhoots kicking off the event with live music, plenty of food and drink available with burger and ice cream vans, as well as home-made cakes.

There will also be various stalls selling animal-related toys and products, fun tombola, raffles and hook a duck on the go.

A guided tour of the new cattery will also be available for free, or, pet owners can get their dog microchipped by asking a member of staff.

Fun Dog Show

Dog owners should make sure to bring their own four-legged friends along with them as they can enter their dogs into the Fun Dog Show; they have all the usual classes with best six legs, retrieve the sausage, best trick and their favourite best rescue dog!

All the money raised on the day goes directly towards the running costs of the RSPCA’s Southport Animal Centre.

Not only are they excited about their upcoming Fun Dog Show, but on the animal front, they have had a successful few weeks rehoming a number of our dogs.
